Sarah

This is a portrait of my friend Sarah. After I painted a copy of James Abbot McNeill Whistler's "Symphony in White: The White Girl," I painted this using some things I learned from the experience of copying a master painting, while also trying to make it contemporary. I also painted a redhead wearing a white dress with a mirror, like in Whistler's painting. From researching, I found out what paint palette Whistler used. I also tried to create a composition that moves the eye around the canvas.
